Dear People of God at St. Luke's,
When done 'right' the Lenten time prepares us for Easter. One way that can look is repentance and fasting leading to a feast, a feast that far outshines the time of deprivation. Youth Outreach Wrapping Up
This has been a fabulous year for Youth Outreach. The children have raised over $1500 so far for all of the various projects.
The Pre-K through 2nd graders are still collecting items needed for the Scituate Animal Shelter. We will be collecting these items up until May 15th. There is a collection box in the narthex, along with a list of items to donate to the shelter.
3rd through 6th graders who participated in the Read-A-Thon for School on Wheels Massachusetts have until May 1st to bring in their money.
Keep tuned for more Youth Outreach updates and news over the next month. Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication to our kids and our communities!

Healing Service, May 7th- 5 PM
On Sunday morning, May 8th, the Annual Firefighters' Road Race will benefit the family of Cathy and Larry Whalen, parishioners of St. Luke's.
So on Saturday, May 7th, at 5 p.m. we will have a special Eucharist with prayers for healing followed by a Spaghetti Dinner. Cathy, Larry and daughters will be there. I ask that any who might be participating in the Road Race attend (as well as any who might have other conflicts or demands on their Sunday morning).
My hope is that other friends of the Whalen's who are not part of our congregation will also know they are welcomed fully.
